Triple Crown (dedicaded to my dad)

This is the first part of the triple crown horse races it will be shown on
saturday May 3, 2008 ever since I was a little girl my family loved horse
racing. My dad knew how to pick a winner by the way the horse would prance,
have no sweat down his legs or the way they hold their heads. My friend Amanda
inspired me by her blog to make one for my memories and my family.
My dad died May 2, 1993 so this is a tribute to him also. We went all over
to the horse races in many states including florida to watch them run.
Every year the triple crown which is the top 3 horse races of the year starting
with the kentucky derby, then in my home state Maryland for the preakness and finally in New York for the belmont. My dad picked a lot of winners in the past years. My mom picks a lot now. I love the kentucky derby with the beautiful horses and the ladies donning their hats. It is just a part of spring to me.

what a fun thing you eastern horse racers have going!
I remember learning what exactly the triple crown actually meant only 5 or 6 years ago. How fun for you to have grown up with it.

I love your hat, wear it to church next week.
